They say age is just a number and for these ladies, that has seems to be true.
Though celebrity age gaps in relationships are hardly a new phenomenon, historically, they've tended to be with older men dating much-younger women. But whether it's Cher, who is 40 years older than her partner of three years, Alexander "AE" Edwards, or newlywed Venus Williams, who is eight years ahead of her man Andrea Preti, or Eva Mendes, who's five years Ryan Gosling's senior, these couples don't feel the need to be conventional.

Cher has always lived her life according to her own terms — and that includes her love life.
The "Believe" singer has been in a relationship with music executive Alexander "AE" Edwards for about three years. The pair were first linked together after being spotted while holding hands in November 2022.
"Before I met him, I walked around my house saying, 'I want a man and a toddler,'" the 79-year-old joked during an episode of Armchair Expert. Her wishes came true, as the star's 39-year-old boyfriend has a six-year-old son named Slash, whom he shares with Amber Rose.
"I wasn't expecting them maybe together but that's what I wanted," Cher added of Edwards.
Responding to how some people have commented about their 40-year-age difference, Cher told CBS Mornings, "Whatever. They’re not living my life. Nobody knows what goes on between us, but we just have a blast."

For Gabrielle Union, the nine-year age gap between herself and husband Dwyane Wade wasn't the only thing keeping her from moving forward with their relationship when they first crossed paths at a Super Bowl party they were both hosting in 2007.
"When I met Dwyane, his résumé looked like crap: athlete, going through a divorce, nine years younger than me. None of that screamed, 'Let's have a lasting relationship,'" she told Glamour. However, a heart-crushing breakup made her think twice. "I thought, it can't be any worse if I date a fetus," she joked.
The pair began dating in 2009 and wed in 2014.

The couple first met at a Gucci show in Paris back in 2024, according to Today, and were rumored to be engaged by February 2025. She confirmed the news in a post-match interview that summer.
"My fiancé is here and he really encouraged me to keep playing," she said of her return to competition at age 45, the oldest singles player in competition since 1981. "He encouraged me to get through this, and it’s wonderful to be here. He’s never seen me play."
The 45-year-old tennis star and the 37-year-old producer and actor recently got married in two ceremonies, one held in Italy, the other in Florida.
