Jeremiah Brent is bringing his eye for design to Target.
The interior designer and Queer Eye home expert, 41, is launching a bedding collection with Target on Jan. 18 — and nearly all items will be available for under $100.
"I've always believed that home should really be an expression of your story. When Target approached me about creating a collection, it was really exciting because we are aligned on our philosophy with design," he tells PEOPLE exclusively. "These are multifunctional pieces that have a lot of pretty gentle hues that nod to nature. There's an understated elegance."
Brent says he was involved in "every stitch, every texture, every line" of the collection. "There's French '30s and '20s, there's traditional... I really wanted it to feel like you could go in there and curate whatever felt personal to you," he says of the inspiration.
Comfort was also a priority for Brent, who says all the bedding is "very soft."
"You're not going to be exfoliating while you're sleeping in them," he quips. "I wanted it to be something you could really cozy up in."

Married to fellow designer Nate Berkus for over a decade, Brent says the couple have learned to compromise on their different aesthetics.
"I like a very monastic bed where it looks like I'm living in a convent with one beautifully placed oversized coverlet," he jokes. "My husband likes lots of pillows. We've come to a nice medium."
As for how many pillows is too many? "I like two to three. [That] feels really comfortable. There's people who have got eight of nine pillows. It's like, where do they go at night? Where do you put them?'"
Brent is also gearing up for the release of the final season of Queer Eye on Netflix, which was filmed last summer in Washington D.C.

"We have some of the most amazing heroes we've met yet, and it really is just like hanging out with your family," he says of working alongside Antoni Porowski, Jonathan Van Ness, Karamo Brown and Tan France. "Watching my friends do what they do and to see the purpose and the passion, it just never gets old."
Their final day of filming was "so emotional," acknowledges Brent, who says he's "learned and evolved" after joining the Fab Five for the show's final two seasons.
"That last day was so special and so important. I came on to the show to try and hep in any way to change somebody's life, but what I didn't expect is how much it would change my own and [help] renew my sense of purpose and reclaim parts of my passion that I forgot about," he says. "It was a beautiful goodbye."
