Kate Hudson's son Ryder is officially an NYU graduate, and his mom couldn't be prouder. She and her family marked Ryder's milestone with a party. Hudson wore the perfect party top for the occasion. Instead of a classic LBD, she opted for its younger sister, the LBT. Her little black top featured a lace trim, a floral jacquard pattern, and a boho drawstring waist. She paired it with a pendant necklace and a statement ring on her pointer finger. She wore her hair down and in soft, natural waves. Also at the party was her mother Goldie Hawn and Hawn's long-time partner Kurt Russell.

Alongside the snaps of the event, Hudson shared a heartfelt tribute to her son.
"I remember staring into the eyes of baby Ryder. I was young but unwavering as a mother," Hudson began in the caption on Instagram. "I thought I knew exactly what I was doing. Isn’t time a beautiful reminder to allow reflection and consideration of all we thought we knew, yet had no idea? The future was ahead and I wondered, 'Who will this child be one day? What will be their favorite food? Will they be funny? Serious? Difficult? Will they be fun to be around? Please God make them cool. Will they get through life with perspective? Will they be happy?' The last being the most important to me, but the endless questions."

Hudson went on to reflect on her mom anxiety. "It floats daily, and I believe that most mothers have it even if they can’t quite pin down the feeling," she wrote.
She gave a glimpse of the back of the lingerie-esque tank top.

She continued, "And then poof! One day, you’re at the college graduation of your first born. He is fun, vibrant, kind. His friends are all awesome and unique, none the same. He loves his family, his siblings and gosh darn it, he loves his mom. All the questions, many answered, many lingering of course, but on this celebration party night I felt a young man carrying great love out into the world. And that is the greatest comfort as a mother. To witness him, ready for the next adventure. I’m allowing myself a quiet moment of pride, and I hope many of the mamas and papas out there having the same experience this past week are doing the same. Here’s to the graduates! ☀️"
Hudson previously shared photos of Ryder's graduation ceremony, including photos that featured Hawn, Russell, and Ryder's father, who is Hudson's ex-husband Chris Robinson, and Robinson's wife Camille Johnson. In photos of the event shared by The Daily Mail, Hudson could be seen wearing an emerald green dress and black blazer.
