Kenny Chesney is responding after his 2009 song, "Out Last Night" went viral thanks to a TikTok video

Chesney's song can be heard in the background of a TikTok video featuring a woman and man kissing in an Alabama bar

The video implores other users to help find the man — though one commenter has made headlines for her own take on the situation

Kenny Chesney is reacting to his 2009 song, "Out Last Night" going viral due to a recent TikTok video.

Chesney's song can be heard in the background of a TikTok video posted by a user named Mikala West on March 29.

The video was filmed at a bar in Huntsville, Alabama following the 2026 lineman’s rodeo — an annual event in which linemen from around the country compete in various competitions.

After the event, West and her friend visited a bar and the friend hit it off with one of the lineman — so West took to TikTok to track him down.

“My friend found her soulmate last night in Huntsville Alabama after the lineman rodeo and we know nothing about him except his name is Mike and his friends kept calling him like the birds in Finding Nemo. (Mike! Mike! Mike!) Help us get Nemo home," West wrote in the video's caption.

And while many other TikTok users waded into the comments to express their support for the story, one commenter — claiming to be Mike's wife — added her own take: “Hi! I’m Michael’s wife. He’s busy explaining this to our two children right now.”

While some 25 million people have seen the original video, and countless other linemen have created their own humorous takes on the situation, Chesney himself has also entered the discussion, posting his own TikTok video featuring the song and the caption, "Heard we went out last night."
