Meghan Trainor's family couldn't be happier to have added a baby girl to their crew.
After sharing on Tuesday, Jan. 20, that her family had grown by one more, the singer, 32, tells PEOPLE exclusively that she's still in shock to have a baby daughter after being a boy mom to her sons Barry, 2, and Riley, 4.
"It feels surreal. I've dreamed about this for so long, and now I'll look at her and still can't believe she's real," Trainor, who welcomed daughter Mikey Moon on Jan. 18 via surrogate with husband Daryl Sabara, tells PEOPLE. "My heart feels fuller than I ever knew it could."

As for how her boys are handling being upgraded to big brothers, the "Still Don't Care" singer says the two couldn't be more thrilled to have a baby sister.
"They are over the moon. Riley takes his 'big brother' role very seriously, and Barry is just so gentle and curious with her," says Trainor. "Watching them bond with their sister has been one of the sweetest parts of this whole experience."
"We printed out photos for Riley to bring to school and show his entire class, and he couldn't have been more excited."

Trainor also tells PEOPLE about her choice to use a surrogate to welcome her little one, saying that it was the "safest" way for the singer to grow her family.
"It wasn’t our first choice, but we had endless conversations with our doctors on this journey, and this was the safest way for us to be able to continue growing our family," Trainor says. "We are forever grateful for that option."
"I want people to know that surrogacy is just another beautiful way to build a family. It’s not something to whisper about or judge. It’s rooted in trust, science, love, and teamwork," the mom of three continues. "Every family’s journey looks different, and all of them are extremely valid."

In a Jan. 20 Instagram post, Trainor — who will release her next album, Toy With Me, on April 24 — announced that she and her husband Sabara welcomed their little girl.
"Our baby girl Mikey Moon Trainor has finally made it to the world thanks to our incredible, superwoman surrogate. We are forever grateful to all the doctors, nurses, teams who made this dream possible," Trainor captioned a carousel with photos of her new party of five. "We had endless conversations with our doctors in this journey and this was the safest way for us to be able to continue growing our family."
"We are over the moon in love with this precious girl," she continued. "Riley and Barry have been so excited, they even got to choose her middle name. We are going to enjoy our family time now, love you all."
