Major League Wrestling is expanding its reach with a new streaming partnership, but according to CEO Court Bauer, the real story isn’t where fans can watch — it’s how much they have to pay.

Ahead of the new season premiere of MLW Fusion on Saturday, Bauer explained why keeping the promotion’s content free remains a core part of the company’s strategy.

With Fusion set to debut on Veeps while continuing on YouTube and beIN Sports, MLW is planting its flag in an increasingly crowded wrestling landscape.

Speaking with FOX Business, Bauer pointed to what he called growing “subscription fatigue” among sports and entertainment fans. He compared the modern viewing experience to paying tolls from one event to the next.

“I’m a huge sports fan,” Bauer said. “It feels like you’re kinda paying tolls as you go from game-to-game.”

He noted that multiple streaming services can quickly add up, leaving consumers frustrated by monthly costs. According to Bauer, that creates an opportunity for MLW to stand out.

“I think we live in a subscription fatigue era,” he said. “We can be the challenger league and say, yeah, no paywall, we’re giving it to you free.”

For Bauer, accessibility isn’t just a business decision — it’s a way to connect with fans who may be feeling the pinch of rising entertainment costs. He added that providing wrestling every Saturday without an additional charge is a value proposition that could resonate with viewers.

The Veeps partnership also opens new doors for MLW beyond streaming. Bauer described the agreement with the Live Nation-backed platform as a major strategic opportunity that could help grow the promotion’s audience while creating crossover opportunities with the music industry.

“This isn’t just a streaming deal,” Bauer said. “Now, MLW is in business with the world’s largest live entertainment and ticketing company.”

MLW Fusion premieres its new season on Saturday at 6:05 p.m. ET and will stream free on Veeps, YouTube, and beIN Sports. For a promotion looking to avoid putting fans in a financial headlock, that’s clearly the game plan moving forward.
