*My 600-lb Life *star Pauline Potter has died at age 62, her son, Dillon, shared in an emotional video detailing his mother's devastating health struggles she reportedly experienced in her final months.
Dillon's video, which he shared on Nov. 30, included the reality TV star's son announcing that, "Unfortunately, my mom passed away this past Thursday, on Thanksgiving," before he recounted several health setbacks his mother endured across the last year.
He alleged that both he and his mother were involved in a "bad car accident" in January 2025, which he claimed involved their vehicle colliding with a "truck and trailer" that were "stuck in the middle of the road" along a dark two-lane highway.

Dillon said that, while he's working with attorneys on receiving compensation for the alleged incident, his injuries "weren't really that severe," though his mother's hand, wrist, and leg were wounded in the accident, and that they later discovered that the impact broke her ribs — though she didn't realize it at the time.
This, Dillon said, preceded a recurring round of visits to a local hospital, after Pauline experienced "severe chest pain" and had trouble keeping food down throughout the summer. He said that the pair repeatedly went to the hospital, ahead of an emergency room visit in July.
Dillon said that doctors initially "couldn't find anything wrong," before doing tests on her chest in August, after which they found a "blockage in her esophagus," he recalled, on top of his mother contracting COVID at the time.

Pauline had, as a result, been in the hospital since August, and developed a back wound that eventually became infected, Dillon remembered. This complicated Pauline's ability to get surgery for her other medical complications, which led to a decline in her health, he claimed.
"We knew there was a very strong chance she might not make it through this," Dillon said, noting that she also began to exhibit signs of heart failure and respiratory failure.
Dillon said that his mother entered hospice care at his aunt's house on Nov. 19, until she died on Thanksgiving, and indicated that he had, at the time of posting his video, no official word on what, specifically, caused her death.
Pauline is the latest in a long line of *My 600-lb Life* subjects who've died over the years, with several alums from the TLC docuseries dying after appearing on the show.
