Their romance comes two months after Abdalla and her ex-fiancé Jake Short confirmed their split
Love is in the air for Mika Abdalla and Josh Heuston!
On Sunday, Aug. 10, the Off Campuscostars were spotted smiling from ear to ear as they walked hand in hand in Vancouver. Photos from their PDA-filled stroll around the Canadian city also show Heuston, 29, kissing Abdalla’s forehead.
The actors donned casual looks, as Heuston sported a white tee and green cargo pants paired with a black baseball cap to match his black shoes, and Abdalla wore an oversized T-shirt with khaki boots and a small handbag.
The couple attended Suki Waterhouse’s Vancouver concert, where their costar Ella Bright performed a surprise duet with the “Good Looking” singer, as reported by Entertainment Tonight.

Abdalla and Heuston’s outing comes months after romance rumors first sparked earlier this summer. On June 22, photos of the two taken during a trip to Paris began circulating online. The Off Campus actors, who played Allie Hayes and Justin Kohl in season one of the romance series, were seen holding each other in a convenience store.
The same day, Heuston shared an Instagram carousel post that included a photo of him and Abdalla sitting beside each other on an airplane. The next day, a source told ET that the pair were dating, though the insider didn’t share any additional information about their relationship.

Abdalla’s romance with Heuston comes shortly after she and her ex-fiancé Jake Short confirmed they called off their engagement in June.

“Due to recent interest in Mika’s personal life it would feel remiss to not address that her and Jake are no longer together,” a rep for Abdalla told Us Weekly on Monday, June 1. “They continue to support each other and remain on friendly terms, and kindly ask for privacy and respect.”
The pair, who had been together for four years, met while filming the 2022 Hulu teen comedy Sex Appeal, in which they played love interests.
During an August 2024 episode of The American High Podcast, Abdalla recalled her first encounter with the Disney star, 29.

“I came over just to say hi and we ended up talking — not about the script, just talking and getting to know each other for hours,” she said. Abdalla also added that she initially thought Short was “really cool and sweet and great.”
Short jokingly proposed to Abdalla during a July 2024 episode of the podcast, and in May 2025, Short’s manager Brian Medavoy confirmed their engagement in an Instagram post.
“An awesome day yesterday celebrating the next chapter for my longtime client, Jake Short and his fiance [sic] Mika Abdalla,” Medavoy captioned a photo of the couple. “From set to real life – watching your journey has been a joy. Here’s to forever.”
Abdalla and Short had not spoken publicly about their engagement before their split.
