Romy Reiner appeared on the final episode Larry Davidās new HBO show, Life, Larry, and the Pursuit of Unhappiness, on Friday.
Romyās father, director and actor Rob Reiner, filmed his final appearance before his death on an episode of the same show.
David and the elder Reinerās comedic collaboration goes back decades, to Reinerās 2001 debut as a recurring character on Davidās Curb Your Enthusiasm.
The Reiner legacy is in good hands as long as Larry David has a say.
Romy Reiner, comedy legend Rob Reinerās youngest with Michele Singer Reiner, appeared on the seventh and final episode of Davidās new HBO series, Life, Larry, and the Pursuit of Unhappiness, on Friday. The credit marks a sweet full-circle moment for Romy, who got her first big break in 2021 playing a cashier on Davidās first and most celebrated HBO show, Curb Your Enthusiasm.
But her turn as an exasperated nurse charged with tending an ill President William Henry Harrison (Fred Melamed) holds even more potent meaning in light of the tragic deaths of Rob and Michele Reiner in December.

The last screen performance Rob gave before his death was on an episode of Life, Larry, and the Pursuit of Unhappiness. āFarewell,ā the second episode of the series, released on July 3, just over a month before Romy carried on the Reiner torch forward by closing out the series on the episode āLawrence.ā

Life, Larry, and the Pursuit of Unhappiness is a star-studded sketch show produced by Barack and Michelle Obama that filters significant historical events through Davidās irreverent perspective, reducing the Boston Tea Party and the moon landing to matters of comic triviality.
Rob appeared on āFarewellā as George Washington, who is repeatedly delayed from completing his announcement that he is stepping down from the presidency by a period-clad David barking out increasingly absurd hypothetical consequences. Romy then appeared as a nurse who is subjected to the same David treatment, who is verklempt after Melamedās Harrison catches cold after delivering a two-hour speech sans overcoat.

Romy and her siblings, Jake and Tracy Reiner, were dealt a crushing blow when their parents bodies were discovered at their Los Angeles home on Dec. 14. Their other sibling, 32-year-old Nick Reiner, has been charged with murder in connection with their killings. He pleaded not guilty in February.
Jake and Romy have continued to honor their parentsā memory, throwing out the ceremonial first pitch at a Dodgers-Red Sox game earlier this month. Jake also penned a heart-wrenching essay delving into the familyās attempt to cope with the tragedy in April.
āWe lost more than half of our family that night in the most violent way imaginable,ā he wrote at the time. āSure, any loss of a parent is devastating, but nothing compares to losing both of them at the same time and, on top of that, having your brother be at the center of it. Itās almost too impossible to process.ā
