Ryan Blaney interested in running the Indy 500, attempting Double
Ryan Blaney is a NASCAR Cup Series champion, but he hasn't raced in the NTT IndyCar Series despite his connections. Blaney's team owner, Roger Penske, owns the IndyCar Series, so if he wanted to run the Indianapolis 500, it could be a possibility. So, does the 2023 Cup Series champion want to run the Indy 500?
Blaney said he would be interested in trying "The Double" in the future, the driver said on SiriusXM NASCAR Radio. Blaney also said he would want to try it with a Team Penske driver from IndyCar. Josef Newgarden, Scott McLaughlin, and David Malukas would all be candidates in that scenario.

As long as Team Penske continues to run in IndyCar, Blaney will have a direct lane to the Indianapolis 500. NASCAR and IndyCar have seen "The Double" attempted by Kyle Larson in 2024 and 2025, and by Legge in 2026. It may not be next year, but Blaney would be interested in adding his name to the list.
