On Sunday, May 31, the former music talent manager, 44, revealed that he and the Euphoriaactress, 28, had taken a late-night visit to Times Square in New York City the previous evening.
“When you’re in bed at 11pm and your girl says “I’ve never been to Times Square….” 😂,” Braun captioned the Instagram Reel.
In the video, the couple could be seen riding rented Citi Bikes on the streets of the Big Apple as Sweeney giggled and took her feet off the pedals. While Braun was wearing a black cap and gray hoodie, Sweeney sported an oversized navy hoodie and a pair of black sunglasses.
“N.Y.C. baby … Hey Syd,” Braun told the camera as he turned around to show their cycle path.
The pair were then seen tucking into cheeseburgers while still incognito, before they found themselves right in the middle of Times Square as Jay-Z and Alicia Keys’ track “Empire State of Mind” played in the background and Sweeney sang along.
“Sweet!” Sweeney told the camera, before Braun zoomed out to show that they were checking out his girlfriend’s interactive American Eagle billboard for her new campaign — “Syd for Short.”
An excited Sweeney could be seen beaming at the camera as she held Braun’s hand and continued to view the billboard, later checking out another one on a different screen in a different part of Times Square.

“🤷🏼♀️🥰🥰❤️,” Sweeney commented on the post.
Syd is the nickname Sweeney calls herself when talking about her life off- screen, with the actress telling PEOPLE in April, “Everyone back home and my friends and my family, they know me as Syd, and so getting to show that side of my personality with American Eagle is really special for me."

The couple’s late-night date night came just days after Braun gushed over The Housemaid star while appearing on Suzy Weiss' Second Thoughtpodcast in an episode airing Thursday, May 28.
"I've met an extraordinary woman, kind and generous and smart, and real and down to earth," Braun said on the podcast, adding that it was "one of the biggest surprises ever."

Braun was then asked if he had been tuning into Euphoria, the finale of which dropped on Sunday. "I am catching it. I'm biased, I like it. I think there's been an incredible performance by a certain actress,” he said.
According to Variety, following the show’s season 3 finale, its creator, writer and director, Sam Levinson, confirmed that the show is officially ending. Levinson made the announcement on The New York Times’ music podcast, Popcast, and HBO also confirmed the news to the outlet.
Sweeney and Braun met in June 2025 while they were both guests at Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez's wedding in Venice, Italy.
Months later, in September 2025, a source told PEOPLE that the duo were "casually" hooking up, but by December, insiders said that the pair were "getting serious."
"Scooter and Sydney are going strong and things between them are great," the source said at the time. "They're in a committed relationship and things are serious."

Braun recently joined Sweeney in Australia, where she has started filming for the new live-action adaptation of Gundam, which also stars Noah Centineo, according to Rolling Stone Australia. Production for the film began in Queensland in April, per Netflix.
Last month, Sweeney shared a sweet video on her Instagram Stories, giving her fans a glimpse into the pair's time spent on the Gold Coast.
