One of the contestants from Taylor Frankie Paul's season of The Bachelorette is declaring his interest in another Mormon Wives cast member.

Brandon Perce shared a video on Instagram on Tuesday, March 31, playfully addressing Taylor's The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives castmate, Jessi Draper, referencing her newly single status after ex Jordan Ngatikaura filed for divorce on March 19.

"Alright, so this message is for Jessi from Single Lives of Mormon Wives," he began, mistating the show's title.

"Now that you're single, I have a friend who is interested. He's a dad. He's got tattoos, likes to work out. He has a job, doesn't like to golf. He's got history with one of your friends."

He concluded, "So, Instagram, if you can do what you do and tag her in the comments so she sees this. Let's make it happen."

In the caption, Brandon wrote, "@_justjessiiii asking for a friend… 👀."

The carefully-crafted message made reference to some of Jessi's complaints about Jordan during her appearance on the Wednesday, March 25 episode of Call Her Daddy.

During the podcast, Jessi explained that Jordan stopped working when they began production on their reality series, shortly after they welcomed daughter, Jovi.

"She was a newborn, we had our toddler as well and he was traveling for work. So he was in Texas, California, like all over the place. And I was like, 'I can't run business, start to film this show and raise two kids.' So I did initiate that," she explained.

"But I did say, 'I need you to find something here.' I thought he was still gonna work. He just took that as 'I'm gonna quit.' And I was making good money, so he didn't need to work. But looking back, I'm like, 'I should have had him help out with the kids more, though.' He got to golf all day."

Sure enough, Jessi was made aware of the video, commenting a simple, "Hi."

Brandon replied, "@_justjessiiii oh hey there, I think my friend sent you a DM 👀."

Just three days before The Bachelorette was set to return on March 26, ABC pulled the upcoming season from its schedule. The cancellation news came hours after a 2023 video was leaked by TMZ, which showed Taylor attacking her ex, Dakota Mortensen.

Paul was previously arrested in 2023 for alleged domestic violence, accused of throwing metal chairs at Mortensen while her then-5-year-old, Indy, was in the room. With regard to the 2023 incident, Paul pleaded guilty in abeyance to aggravated assault and the other charges were dropped.

A rep for Paul previously told PEOPLE the video "conveniently omits context" and called its release a "reprehensible attempt [by Mortensen] to distract from his own behavior."

Mortensen responded in his own statement to PEOPLE, writing, "I am, unfortunately, used to these baseless claims about me and our relationship, which I categorically deny."

The men who appeared on Taylor Frankie Paul's scrapped season of The Bachelorette spoke out in the days that followed, with Brandon sharing a brief post, sharing a blank white screen with "..." written over it.

Brandon's bio for the show describes the 28-year-old as "a single dad whose world revolves around his amazing kids."

"He’s confident, loyal and a total catch. Family means everything to Brandon, and this self-described mama’s boy is looking for a wife to settle down with and build a life. He’s a hopeless romantic who fantasizes over the idea of true love. His idea of the perfect date? A sunset hike, followed by pizza and cuddles on the couch. When Brandon isn’t working or enjoying time with his kids, he loves watching Peaky Blinders, rock climbing, and cheering on the Chicago Bears. He is serious about finding love on this journey, so Brandon, let the journey begin."
