Zilla Fatu could be heading to WWE soon, with a new report claiming that the rising star has signed with the company and is back at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando.

The timing of the report is interesting because of what happened last week. Fatu lost the HOG Crown Jewel Championship to Amazing Red on August 7 in Jamaica, Queens. After the match, Red wished Fatu “good luck” during a speech, while the crowd chanted Fatu’s name.

The commentary also made the moment feel like a farewell, suggesting that Fatu could be moving on to bigger things. If the latest WWE report is accurate, that title loss could have been an important sign of what was coming next.

Fatu has been one of the more exciting young wrestlers on the independent scene. He started training in 2022 and has built a lot of momentum since then.

According to False Finish, sources believe Fatu has signed a WWE contract. The report comes after the 26-year-old was recently seen at the Performance Center. He had also visited the facility in June, which started the recent speculation about his WWE future.

However, for now, fans should treat the news as a strong possibility rather than an official announcement from the company.

PWInsider previously reported that Fatu had been seen at the WWE Performance Center, although there was no confirmation at the time that he had signed. Fightful Select later reported in June that WWE expected to sign Fatu if a deal had not already been completed.

It is easy to see why WWE is interested. Fatu is the son of the late WWE star Umaga and comes from the famous Anoa’i and Fatu wrestling family. That family connection could make him a natural fit for the Bloodline story, which is the biggest storyline going on RAW right now.
